moving out! [25 Sep 2008|05:30am] [ mood | sick ] so i am moving. i am kind of sad to be leaving new york and knowing that someone else is going to be enjoying my kind of dope apartment, but good for them i guess. there is just nothing here for me right now and i am just wasting so much time and money staying here! michael and i just signed a lease today to move to union november 1st. so far the apartment seems really awesome; i just hope it turns out to be as good as it looks. i am also excited that i will actually be able to drive my brand new car that has just been sitting in my side yard at my parent's house. i am pretty sure i am going to pursue getting teacher certification. my mom is really scared that i am just going to flip out and be really mean to my students, but hopefully it'll just be an awesome job where i get to work 3 months less than everyone per year. time to get packing!! if you want to buy a microwave or freezer, let me know! haha Comments: please don't flow so fast.

[13 Sep 2008|03:20pm] i am confused as to how people are satisfied living in new york city. it is horrible here. if you are lucky, you get to do your laundry in your own building. if you are unlucky, you have to schlep it 5 blocks in the snow or pay someone to do it for you. i don't understand how people paying like 1/5 the rent get to have little luxuries like an outlet in their bathroom with which to dry their hair... or space for their hair dryer to go. i would like to once be able to do my makeup in my bathroom rather than by the mirror that is strategically placed above my microwave. i am just really wondering.. what is so good about new york? i don't even go anywhere. no one wants to stroll around and wander into shops and cafes and bars when it is 20 degrees out and the ground is covered with dirty sewer slush. no one wants to wear their work clothes in the subway and walk 4 flights of stairs in heels just to be met with more sewer water and other people's sweat. so why do so many people live here? is it because everyone is an alcoholic and the bars are open until 4? cuz that's the only explanation i can come up with. let me know.
